Product Review- Liku Skin Care Beauty Products

If I were to ask you to list down the numerous skin care products you have experimented with to get that perfect glow on your skin, how endless would that list be? If our skin could talk, it would probably say how drained it is from all the kitchen remedies and skincare products we have bombarded it with through the years. However with age I have come to the realization that if you focus on good skin care, you really won’t need a lot of makeup.

Whether we are blessed with good genes or not, we all need to take care of our skin. It’s like dieting, you have to invest time and effort since there really is no miracle cure which works overnight to give you perfectly, clear skin. On my quest to find something that would work with extremely sensitive skin prone to breakouts or rashes, I came across Liku range of products.

Apart from the wonderful packaging, what drew me to Liku was the inspiration behind their products: “I believe in not putting anything on my body that I wouldn’t put in my mouth. Feed my skin with vitamins and nutrients to promote a healthy status and balance inside and out”. I was convinced my skin was in safe hands, and I couldn’t wait to sample a few of their products.

Sunflower oil has numerous benefits for your skin; not only is it rich in Omega-6, which helps with eliminating skin infections and sunburns, but it is also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Another one of my favorite oil, happens to be Coconut oil; it has so many benefits for the skin including it being an anti-fungal healing agent for your skin. Cocoa Butter helps prevent skin drying and peeling. You might be wondering why I have mentioned all these oils, well, when I saw all those ingredients mixed together with some caramel and chocolate, I had to give the Caramel and Chocolate soap from Liku a try, just to see how my skin would react to it.

The soap lathers and spreads quite well, which left my skin feeling so soft and moisturized. It also has quite a beautiful, yet mild scent to it, which I would highly really recommend for anyone suffering from eczema, or skin related issues since it doesn’t have any chemicals contained in it.

After spoiling my skin with the Caramel Soap, I had to sample out their Body Oil. Rich with so many oils such as Avocado, Sunflower and Coconut Oil; while as well as various essential oils such as Tea Tree and Lavender Oil, left my skin feeling so nourished after a shower. I found it a little bit heavy to use it in the morning. but it worked perfectly well for my evening skin care routine, as I prefer applying it on my skin just before bedtime. I realized it works well with skin irritations, since I used it to sooth an allergic skin reaction I  had while on a Safari to the Mara.

VERDICT

If you have sensitive skin or have babies with sensitive skin, I would really recommend Liku Skin Care and hair products. Not only are their products chemical free, but you can tell a lot of thought has been put into the packaging, the quality of their range of products and the affordability as well. I just recently found out from their website (which has a shop section that’s quite easy and stress free to order) that they have a range of products for men, kids as well as face oils; which I hope to try out soon and see how well they will work with my skin.
